INTRODUCTION/GENERAL COMMENTS/PERSONALS GOALS FOR INVOLVEMENT IN COLLABORATIVE FAMILY LAW CASES:
With more than three decades of family law experience, Carol brings a strong belief in the values of advocacy with respect, negotiation, compromise, and overall collaboration. Carol assists her clients in accomplishing agreements that are fair and equitable, seeking to do so outside of a litigation / courtroom setting. Carol understands that the litigation process can create additional emotional and financial stress in an already emotional and financially stressful environment around the end of a marriage and revamping of family relationships. Carol has been certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as an Ohio Family Relations Law Specialist since such certification was offered in 2000, and has been a member of the Central Ohio Academy of Collaborative Divorce Professionals (COACDP) since it was first organized. Carol was the first Chair of the Columbus Bar Association’s LGBT Committee, is a member of Temple Beth Shalom where she also plays piano, and formerly served as an elected member and President of the Bexley School Board.
