This training will help participants:

  • Create high functioning, cohesive multidisciplinary teams
  • Understand difficult emotions & client behaviors & how they affect the collaborative process
  • Identify their own patterns and styles of coping with conflict
  • Assess clients’ capacity for transformation
  • Learn how to map a difficult discussion so it leads to a satisfactory resolution for both participants
  • Repair ruptures of trust between clients – or between professionals
  • Improve communication and build sophisticated skills

Presenters: Collaborative Practice Training Institute (CPTI), whose mission is to exemplify the advancement, innovation, and best practices of Collaborative Practitioners and Trainers. Training meets the standards of IACP and will be based on concepts described in the book, Navigating Emotional Currents of Collaborative Divorce; A Guide to Enlightened Team Practice, by Scharff and Herrick (2010).
