Becoming an attorney was a lifelong dream of mine that I pursued only after having first experienced marriage, parenthood, and an 8-year career in the insurance industry. I have a passion for the work that I do now - a passion that was lacking in my previous career. In law school I made a conscious decision to concentrate my studies in family law because I knew that was an area where I would have the opportunity to make a very real and tangible difference in people's lives. In handling a client's matter, I strive to never lose focus of the client's real needs, to handle each case where possible to preserve respectful relationships that are lifelong in nature, and to preserve as much of the family's assets for the family's needs as possible.

My philosophy and approach to every family law case is to first explore the possibility of an amicable resolution. The vast majority of family law matters settle by agreement. Therefore, it rarely makes financial sense to pursue litigation before attempting to resolve some if not all of the issues by agreement. But, there are many avenues that husbands and wives can pursue to end their marriage, and I work with each client individually to help them explore and ultimately make that critical choice.
