Elaine S. Buck has been extensively involved in collaborative family law practice since its inception in this area. She has contributed to the development of collaborative law through past service on the CDP Board as past president and other leadership positions; through articles and presentations to colleagues, law students and the public; and through committee work to promote collaborative law legislation in this State.
Elaine has been practicing law in Ohio since 1982 and is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Family Relations Law Specialist. In addition to family law, her areas of practice include adoption and probate. Elaine is a graduate of Brown University, with an honors degree from the Department of English. She received her law degree from the Ohio State University (now Moritz) College of Law.
Elaine is trained and certified in divorce mediation as well as collaborative law. She is a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Association Foundation and has held the following leadership positions: President of Collaborative Divorce Professionals Board of Trustees, Pilot Parenting Coordinator of Franklin County, Moderator for the Center for New Directions Divorce/Dissolution Program, Chairman of the Board of Northwest Counseling Services, and presenter on collaborative law for Capital University Law School and for the Ohio Council of School Board Attorneys. At present, Elaine is involved in statewide committee work for collaborative law legislation and a project for collaborative law training of attorneys and other collaborative professionals. |
